A motion to add a vote of no confidence to an unrelated piece of legislation failed by a very large margin last night at the SA meeting that was supposed to oust Tim Andreadis.

Rhetoric swirled before the meeting that Tim's opponents constituted a vast majority of Dartmouth students, but that claim now seems to have little basis. While I am not naive enough to think that every one of the ninety votes that went against the measure to censure Tim was a vote in complete support for him, I think it is now quite evident that a great number of students just want to see this all stop and go away—everyone go back to their corners and not box again.

No one but Adam's interest is served by prolonging an effort to remove or reprimand Tim. The Assembly gains nothing by continually having to fight over Adam's petty attempts to even the score with Tim, and the College gains nothing by tying up the Assembly with pointless legislation. Last night proved that Adam's efforts are still squarely focused on Tim, and not about SA's larger issues. Little will be accomplished while Adam carries on his vendetta and, while we may not be any the worse for it, we could be a great deal better without it.

"Let's not turn this into a charade," as Michael Herman said at the meeting.

Punch a wall, smash a beer can on your head, and then move on...

  2. Anonymous11:00 AM

You forgot to mention that everyone laughed after Herman said that.

  3. I mean, is this outcome really a surprise to anyone? I still think most of campus doesn't like Tim as president, but they either didn't have voting privileges or didn't care enough to show up. Those who did care showed up and got their way; I suppose that's deserved.

SA is already a joke and a charade. This bullshit just adds to the running joke, nothing more.

I have 3 proclamations to make...

    1. Andrew Seal sucks a fat one.

    2. Andreadis clearly stacked the vote in his favor by inviting a bunch of leaders from meaningless & petty clubs who were given immediate voting status as organizational representatives. Those clubs, along with the SA deserve to be dissolved, as they represent the interests of very few students--they certainly don't "represent" my interests or those of anyone who has a sensible outlook on life.

    3. I am willing to place a $5 bet that Seal & Andreadis are getting it on.

    That is all.

  6. Anonymous1:33 AM

So Shpeen's interests are less petty than legit student groups around campus? ha.

  7. Anonymous11:34 AM

so chi gam brothers represent a more diverse body than the student organizations? thats one i haven't heard before...

  8. Anonymous3:41 PM

The above 2 comments are legit, and thus I need to make a 4th proclamation:

    4. Shpeen & his lot are equally as petty & unrepresentative and thus the fight between Andreadis & Shpeen is irrelevant & shoud cease. So I say we impeach both their asses & dissolve the meaningless body.

None of these ass clowns are people I want setting policy for my school.

  9. Who would be an ideal person to set policy for the school?

seal is only capable of leading tim a's phallus into his own mouth.

which is actually a difficult thing, since it's so small.

The Review writes up a good epilogue to the ass-clown duel.
