Beating a Dead Horse

1. I think its absurd to insist that Palestinians are more evil than Israelis, because it happens to lend itself to a few racist assumptions, and has nothing to do with solving the crisis in that region.
2. Suicide-bombing is wrong. No shit. The point of everyone-but-Feokstistov is that some Israeli policy might be wrong too, racism isn't one-sided, and actions that appear "more wrong" don't justify unethical and oppressive measures by the other side.
3. I'm sick of this Israel-Palestine debate now. Check out today's Guy and Fellow , it sums up how I feel decently enough.

  1. 1. This blog has nothing to do with solving the crisis in that region. I'm saying why that type of moral reasoning is insidious.
    2. This illustrates my point. If we restrict ourselves to passing moral judgments only when there is a clear case of one wrong party and one right party, then we will never make moral judgments. Sometimes we need to say, "suicide bombing is more wrong than the threat of mass deportation," and not just stop at "racism isn't one-sided." If we can't make distinctions of this kind, we should probably just give up the idea of morality.

  2. I'm not going to write a post on this, because honestly i feel like it's just done, but honestly seal, what the fuck are you talking about?

israel is a first-world country. a virulently racist first-world country. is there any argument about this? anyone?

virulently racist first-world countries are not a good look. are they "as bad" as suicide bombings? who gives a shit? why should we support either?

Yeah, totally. Maybe we can just let them work it out, and wash our hands of the matter. That'll definitely work out.
