Programming Board--Still Sucking

Joe Malchow is rightly confused about the Programming Board's latest failure to bring a halfway decent act to Dartmouth. (I think the answer to his question is Norah Jones.)

I have previously written two articles (here and here) for the DFP defaming Programming Board's musical selections, but I thought Vanessa Carlton needed no such diatribe.

Apparently, I was right, given that no one went.

  1. I agree entirely. Programming Board has very little success at attracting well-known, talented artists to come perform at Dartmouth, besides of course the annual "Regurgitator" act in the spring. My suggestion: PB should concentrate their 300K and, instead of co-sponsoring small, sparsly attented events, invest in bringing someone legit to campus.

The only two good acts to show up were Dave Chappelle and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, although I couldn't see the Bosstones because they brought them during Green Key, and I had a party to attend.

I really don't understand this. I can't think it should be terribly hard to get good acts up from Boston...
